I do really like Monday, but the problem with all these 'unicorn' project management companies is their software is too heavy and involved, you lose more time using the software than you save.Īs a small business owner I have found that I don't need much more that office 365 business, except our industry specific software which runs mostly on servers.ĭon't let anyone convince you that you need to pay for PM software. It's all fully integrated with the Office 365 suite of business tools. I can easily drag emails onto the ToDo app, and assign tasks/projects to my staff who are also part of the organization. I own a CPA firm with around 600 small business clients and it has worked for me just fine, better than the alternatives which are way too involved and time consuming. Microsoft ToDo is what I use and I love it. If you want something that’s quick out of the box and gets you almost everything that you can have in Notion, plus some other cool features and integrations, I’d definitely go with ClickUp. If you’re looking for super customizability I’d go with Notion. I guess to summarize: they’re both great tools. Not as customizable as Notion, but it pretty much gives me what I needed and had in Notion and it didn’t take 170 years to set it up. But I found myself spending more time tweaking my templates and stuff vs actually getting stuff done.Īfter a while I gave ClickUp a try. Don’t get me wrong, it was absolutely great! Highly customizable. But, for me, the amount of time it took me to set it up was way too long. I actually am still using Notion for my markdown docs, but I’m actually in the process of moving those to ClickUp as well.
